Employment income This is any income received as salary, wages, commissions, bonuses, tips, gratuities, and honoraries (paymenys given for professional services).

Self-employment income This is your self-employed or business income, including from a:profession, trade, manufacturer, or any undertaking of any kind.

Other income (incl. EI) Includes all other incomes such as rental income, payment from the Government of Canada, provinces and territories including EI, OAS, CPP, etc.

RRSP and FHSA contribution Your RRSP and FHSA contributions are subject to annual contribution and deduction limits. Please refer to your latest notice of assessment, notice of reassessment, or Form T1028.

Capital gains & losses This is the total profit or loss gained from the sale of stocks, bonds, precious metals, and property (currently, only 50% of the value of any capital gains are taxable in Canada). the taxable capital gain is 50% of the gain and the allowable capital loss is 50% of the loss. Allowable capital losses can only be deducted from taxable capital gains.

Eligible dividends This is any dividend paid by a Canadian corporation to a Canadian resident who is designated to receive one(a corporation's capacity to pay eligible dividends depends mostly on its status).

Ineligible dividends This is any dividend that does not meet the definition and/or designation requirements of an eligible dividend.

Income taxes paid (Federal) This is the amount of money you have deducted from your income when you get paid for taxes.

Income taxes paid (Québec) These are Québec taxes deducted from your paycheque at source(excluding QPP and EI).
